Zimbabwe women's squad go into camp today in preparation for their international debut, a ZC official, Jimmy Chikange, has confirmed. The women will play their first international in the ICC regional World Cup qualifiers to be held in Kenya next month. The training camp ends on December 6 and the squad will depart for Nairobi the following day. Zimbabwe's first match will be against Uganda on 8 December before they take on the Kenyans on the 9th and their final tour match will be against Tanzania on December 10.
Chikange also said there were to be no further changes to the squad that was announced earlier this month. The coach Emmanuel Dube is set to do full fitness assessments of all the players in the side and says the team is raring to go. This is the first time that the Zimbabweans will be participating in an official ICC-sanctioned women's tournament.
